What is a JSON file?
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) was popularised by Douglas Crockford in the early 2000s and standardised as ECMA-404 and RFC 8259. It represents objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans and null in a compact text syntax.
JSON is the default format for web APIs and many configuration files. Converting it to CSV or Excel requires flattening nested structures, and ConvertCove does that automatically using dotted column names.
